IDAHO SALMON!
Spring chinook fishing is coming soon to an Idaho river....
The Clearwater River will provide the earliest opportunities for Chinook fishing in Idaho. In past years the most productive early fishing on the Clearwater has been on anchor in the very lower stretches of the river. This portion of the river is generally easier to fish during the usual high water that tends to happen about this time of year.
Of course, for those who feel the need to pursue - these fish can be chased up the river using the usual techniques of backtrolling, bait bouncing or even throwing spinners and spoons from the bank. Each method can be productive and exciting when a hook up occurs. FISH ON!
Information on Idaho Salmon season is available in the spring when run size is determined and projected.
After run size is projected Idaho Fish and Wildlife is allowed to set seasons for the available fish.
We will follow the process and provide information as it becomes available.

CEARWATER RIVER SALMON FISHING
There is something about salmon that excites people more that any other fish....Perhaps it is the brute strength, hard fighting behavior, or maybe it is the fact they are considered one of the very best food fish available. Whatever the reason, everyone that fishes wants in on this exciting season..
